William Sachse, the town’s founding father would never have imagined what has grown from his simple land purchase in 1845 in modern day Collin County. Today it’s a vibrant, bustling community defined by well laid plans and enormous growth.

Students living in the city of Sachse are offered a rich and diverse education through two different school districts, both serving the community with high standards of education. Dallas County residents of Sachse are serviced by Garland Schools, which have an open enrollment campus. This simply stated means that any resident student may attend whichever high school campus they choose within the district, provided they have their own transportation. Collin County residents of Sachse are serviced by the Wylie school district. Cheri Cox Elementary, located at Woodbridge Parkway and Creek Crossing, and Don Whitt Elementary, located on Ranch Road both provide elementary education.
Middle and High School students attend Wylie High School.
Sachse residents also pay In-District tuition fees to the rich network of campuses that comprise the Collin County Community College network of higher education institutions.
