Rowlett TX

Rowlett TX is surrounded by Lake Ray Hubbard making this a wonderful asset and desirable place to live.

Rowlett derives its name from “Rowlett Creek” which flows into Lake Ray Hubbard and is a major tributary of the east fork of the Trinity River. The city is located east of Dallas and is bordered by Garland and Mesquite. Easily accessible by major highways such as Hwy 30 and Hwy 635, also known as LBJ Freeway. Hwy 190 is under construction. When finished, it will connect Rowlett to the western part of Dallas and Plano and run to the DFW International Airport.

The lake area offers sailing, skiing, boating, fishing, hike and bike trails parasailing, and miles of grassy scenic picnic areas. The Shores golf course offers additional recreational activity.

Housing is as varied as the city mostly built in planned subdivisions. The best known is Waterview, a large community with its’ own pool and clubhouse.

The Dallas County portion of Rowlett is served by the Garland Independent School District, while the Rockwall County portion is a part of the Rockwall Independent School District.
