Lake Highlands is one of Dallas’ best kept secrets.
Lake Highlands is one of the prettiest areas in Dallas. Located in the Northeast quadrant of Dallas, this area is bordered by major thoroughfare:, Northwest Highway to the south, LBJ freeway (HWY 635) to the north.
Lake Highlands is the only neighborhood south of 635 that is in the Richardson School District. It has its’ own High School, Lake Highlands High School, and two middle schools. The area also contains numerous award winning elementary schools. Due to the much sought after school district, Lake Highlands is a wonderful family oriented area.
One of the largest parks in the area can be found here. Flag Pole Hill is home to various long distance races and a yearly outdoor concert performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. It is also one of the highest points in Dallas. The White Rock Lake bike and hike trail also runs through this area.
Lake Highlands has a wonderful combination of older 1950’s to 1980’s homes and newer construction dotting the landscape. Neighborhoods like White Rock North, Merriman Park, Moss Farms and many more can be found here.
Lake Highlands also boasts a highly used public recreation center, offering classes from aerobics and yoga to children’s sports and dance.
