Euless TX is situated to provide easy access to all of the entertainment offerings of nearby Arlington, Grand Prairie, Dallas, and Forth Worth. In 2005, the population was estimated at 51,226.
Euless, Texas is named after Elisha Adam Euless, a native of Tennessee who moved to Texas in 1867 and started a cotton gin and a community center on his property. The community that developed around the land chose the name "Euless" in honor of the successful businessman and farmer. Euless is in Tarrant County, situated approximately 20 minutes northwest of Dallas and 25 minutes northeast of Fort Worth. Part of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is located within Euless. As part of the Mid-Cities, Euless claims to host the largest Arbor Day celebration anywhere in the world. Sports fans can take in the Dallas Stars at the Dr. Pepper Star Center, and enjoy other sporting attractions at Texas Star Sports Center and Softball World at Texas Star. Recreational sports opportunities are also abundant, including those at the Texas Star Golf Course and Midway Recreation Center. Euless is home to 16 parks totaling 605 acres, as well as 24 athletic fields, two amphitheaters, a public golf course/conference center, a recreation center, three swimming pools, and tennis courts. |
