Dallas Neighborhoods

Dallas, Texas has many wonderful areas. While we are a geographically large city, we have a small town neighborhood feel. The Metroplex was created by combining Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas and all surrounding cities into one metropolitan area. The main link to the two cities is a shared airport, D/FW International Airport.
Addison, also know as the Town of Addison is a northern suburb of Dallas. The city is only 4 square miles but houses some of the best restaurants in the city.
Allen is a small wealthy northern suburb of Dallas, it covers an area of 27.1 square miles. Allen has an excellent education system as well as one of the best outlet Mall.
Carrollton is a suburb of Dallas. The city of Carrollton has been named 95th safest city to live in the United States.
Coppell occupies the northwest corner of Dallas County, a portion of the DFW Airport property is within the city limits of Coppell. Because of its proximity to the airport and low cost of living, the local economy is thriving.
Dallas is the ultra modern and sophisticated city attracts worldwide travelers, making the area the No. 1 visitor and leisure destination in Texas. Great shopping and entertainment.
East Dallas is one of the older areas of the city. Known for its architectural housing, family owned restaurants, and laid back life style.
Euless is part of the Mid-Cities between Dallas and Fort Worth. Part of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, is inside the city limits of Euless.
Flower Mound, the town derives its name from the prominent 12.5-acre mound located in the southern portion of the town which is covered by wild flowers. Lake Lewisville and the town of Lewisville border this area.
Frisco is a city in Collin and Denton Counties and a wealthy and rapidly growing suburb of Dallas. Frisco continues to be one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.
Garland is an inner suburb northeast of Dallas and is a major part of the city. The newest development is Firewheel Town Center, an outdoor mall with more than 100 businesses.
Grand Prairie is a part of the Mid-Cities region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. Nokia Theatre at Grand Prairie and Lone Star Park are also located here also.
Grapevine, the city is named for wild mustang grapes prevalent in the area. In recent years several wineries have opened in Grapevine, and the city has been very active in maintaining its historic downtown area.
Heath is the second wealthiest county in the state of Texas in terms of median income. Heath is a small suburb within Rockwall County with its’ own award winning school district.
Highland Park, near Dallas, developed a moderately large population by the early 1930s with a few businesses.
Irving contains the Las Colinas area, which was one of the first master-planned developments in the United States. Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport is located within Irving.
Lake Highlands is a special neighborhood bordered by White Rock Lake and Flag Pole Hill, one of the highest points in Dallas. The Richardson school district is a huge draw.
Lewisville offers old-town charm with antique shops, specialty stores and restaurants.
McKinney is one of several fast-growing communities on the northeastern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. They have an award willing school district.
North Dallas is located north of LBJ Freeway. Part of the area is located in Richardson school district. Shopping and entertainment are plentiful here.
Oak Cliff has turn-of-the-century and mid-20th century housing, many parks, and proximity to the central business district of downtown Dallas. Kessler park and Stevens Park are two well established neighborhoods located here.
Oaklawn/Uptown/Downtown/Knox Park is inner city living at its best. Surrounded by some of the best dinning Dallas has to offer as well as the Katy Trail and the American Airlines Center.
Plano is home to many corporate headquarters, including Ericsson Inc., Rent-A-Center, Crossmark, Perot Systems, Electronic Data Systems, JC Penney, Frito-Lay, Cinemark Theatres, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and UGS.
Richardson is home to many corporate headquarters, including Ericsson Inc., Rent-A-Center, Crossmark, Perot Systems, Cinemark Theatres, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and UGS. Including five of the world's largest communications/networking companies.
Rockwall is its on city within Dallas. It has its own government and school district.
Rowlett, the lake area offers sailing, skiing, boating, fishing, hike and bike trails parasailing, and miles of grassy scenic picnic areas.
Sachse derives its name from “Rowlett Creek” which flows into Lake Ray Hubbard, a major recreation lake for the Dallas area.
Southlake is well known for its Southlake Town Square project, a shopping center filled with great stores and dinning choices. The Southlake Independent school District is highly regarded.
University Park is a city within the heart of Dallas. It has its’ own government as well as an award winning school system. SMU University is located here.
West Dallas is a well established area with housing built from the 1950’s to new construction. It is easily accessible to the regional Love Field Airport.
