If you were eligible for the $8000 home buyer credit but could not or did not find a house in the alleged time (April 30, 2010) don’t be discouraged. Your realtor should be able to negotiate the price or have the seller pay enough of your closing cost to make up for the $8000.
Making a hasty purchase for such a large important purchase is the wrong way to go about this process. I am not saying that the $8000 being offered by the government was a small thing but it was not large enough for a bad decision.
Interest notes are still at all time low and the number of homes on the market, in many ways, is still high. So continue to have forward with your home purchase, you’ll be glad you did.
